That was a very good weekend. I went shopping on the Saturday to get some new jeans as having lost a fair bit of weight recently, my usual pairs are becoming very loose on me. Which wouldn't normally be too much of a problem, except that my belt is made of leather so I've had to give it up. I was also going to check out womens' belts on the advice of lucifermourning to see if they had any non-leather ones as my previous experiences of trying to buy a new belt and only turned up leather ones.

But just to confound me, lo and behold the mens' belts section in the first store I looked at for jeans, had some non-leather ones. Result! This meant I didn't have to wander aimlessly around the womens' department trying to avoid the lingerie section, whilst trying to spot where the belts were.

Jeans were a little tricky to find. BHS had a total of 3 pairs of black jeans, which is just shockingly crap. They used to do quite a good line in jeans in the past. Luckily I found some elsewhere.

I also got a copy of Patapon, which is a very quirky game for the PSP. You are The Almighty - the god to a tribe of eyeballs with arms and legs. To command them, you have to play a series of drum beats in time, to which they respond back by singing. And you have to then bang out your next order without breaking the flow. It's bloody tricky hitting the buttons at the right time, even with the visual clue it provides. And it's strangely addictive. That's one thing I like about the PSP, it seems to have quite a lot of wierd and quirky games like this that are really fun to play.

And then I popped into Waterstones to look at the books and found an advert for a sci-fi and fantasy reading group that is going to be held in the store in a couple of weeks time. Admittedly it's on a Thursday, but it finishes at 7, so I should be able to get back in time before everyone normally shows up anyway.

Dark Ages in the evening saw me reprising the role of one of the more longer serving NPCs. Don't think I got the scowling right though. Sunday was spent lazying about as I got called up by work (damn on-call) and that broke the mood for the day, so I just sat at home, watched lots of TV and played more Patapon rather than going to fight club.

This week has already got off on a bad start as I some how managed to tear a nail. Which given how short it was, is quite impressive.

PON PON PATA PON! :)

I imagine, given your musical talents, that you must rock the socks off at this game?
