Gah! I hate computer hardware! How hard can it be to replace something as simple as a PSU? The answer seems to be "bloody impossible". Took ages to get the old one out only to realise the new one has an incompatiable motherboard connector. And the old one doesn't seem to work now. Arse. Only want the machine alive for the stuff on the drives. *sighs*

Solution connect it to your main computer as a slave drive, and therefore get it off the hd that way. Guess who is doing his A+ plus certification currently and reading that part of hardware.

It's already in my main computer. That's the one with the broken PSU/fan.

I'll swop you an old style connector PSU for your new style one?

Probably a bit late for that. I figure given that nothing is working, that I've probably toasted the motherboard or something. I probably plugged the power back in the wrong way or something.
