We go...we come back...

Not much been happening recently. Stayed up stupidily late on Wednesday stomping about the country crushing regions beneath my heel (translation: I deleted the unwanted regions from the CamUK website). So rather unsurprisingly I was braindead boy on Thursday.

Managed to bimble my way through work up until the point we had a compulsory all-hands meeting where faceless uberuberuberuber boss type patted us on the head and told us all was good. I was deeply amused/frustrated that he said that we, ourselves should only spend 12 seconds doing this before returning back to work. He spent an hour doing it.

Personally I don't think I actually care about the company I work for. I want it to succeed only cos then they'll be able to continue paying me money. I'm only really in any job for the money. Ideally I'd quite like to have a job where I only have to work 4 days a week. Or maybe less. I realised this cos of having Monday off the other day and going shopping. Shopping during the week is so much nicer than at the weekend - far less people around. Much more relaxed. And I could watch movies more often.

Everyone will be pleased to know that I did exercise my democratic powers yesterday, although as with previous years it was ever so much pissing in the wind. But that's what I get for living in a Tory stronghold. I don't know the results yet, but I'd imagine the local elections ended up the same as usual too.

Stayed uberlate at work to do "stuff" - mostly fixing things and cabling up our new box which I have loving called "plank". No-one else here wants it to be called "plank" though but can't think of anything better.

Pub was mostly uneventful as I was definitely braindead boy and apart from a few brief bursts of conciousness, was mostly zombie with glazed eye expression. Managed to clear up a few roleplaying bits and bobs with folk, get something to eat despite the lateness of my arrival and then staggered home to send out a vitally important email.
