(no subject)

Nothing much exciting is happening right now. After being shown some geekomancy by noseynick I have put together a google map overlay for the shop guide section on the IFIS website. Of course it's been ages since we did a shopping trip, so it's highly likely that a few of those shops are no more or there are new ones we should add...

I also read this highly amusing news article about "Paris Syndrome". Which is where these poor Japanese tourists are flying over to visit Paris and discovering that it's not the idlylic paradise they imagined and is instead full of rude unhelpful French people and they end up suffering from a mental breakdown. It doesn't affect us Westerners cos we already know the French are rude.

PS: Must get a newer version of logjam...this one doesn't support tags.

OMG!! I'm having a geekasm! The new version of logjam can download my entire journal into an offline backup. Which is in my (current) prefered database system - SQLite. It means I can search it really really easily and refer back to past entries without too much hassle.

go go gadget backup pub

Our usual pub is shut due to a death apparently. So we've gone to our new alternative, the Railway. No idea if anyone who cares will read this in time, but I figure I should post this info just in case.

Maybe cream_horn will read it, since not having a mobile phone, we've no way of letting him know.
