Now that I've had time to ponder T3 I've decided to ( Collapse )
August 5th, 2003
Isn't it odd, how the music industry is really anti-downloading music, but isn't against companies making hardware or software to play the downloaded music. It's only since mp3 was invented that downloading music really took off, but if there weren't lots of players out there to play mp3s on, it'd probably not be doing as well. Still - I think it's wildly understood the music industry is crazy.
Anyhow - less whimsicle ponderings for today I think. Looks like we're going to have another scorcher, which doesn't bode well for the Cthuhlu game tonight as it gets really sticky and yucky indoors when it's hot like this. Could do with having a garden to sit out in, cos that'd work - although they'd need the rear light to be able to be turned on properly or something.
I dunno what was so special about this morning, but I saw at least 9 other cyclists on the way to Staines. I don't think I've ever seen more than a couple. Not sure which type of cyclist I prefer - the crazy loon who hurtles about the place with no regard for anyone else, or the really slow types that hold everyone else up. I suspect a lot of other cyclists include me in the latter, but 15MPH isn't that slow for cycling - there are some people who seem to get well up to 25. But they're not so stupid as to travel that fast in silly places. Like the guy that crossed the police station road at 15MPH and nearly smacked into another cyclist coming the other way. It's definitely a dismounting job there.
I think, tomorrow, I shall try and cycle the whole journey home. Just to prove I can do it in a reasonable amount of time. I've done it twice before and it's taken absolutely ages, but thats cos I ended up getting lost and I wasn't particular fit. Not that I'm very fit at the moment. I got overtaken whilst going up Windsor High street by a female cyclist who said something to me. I've no idea what she said as I wasn't paying attention to people blurting stuff out to be in the middle of the road. I figure she was either being friendly or complaining that I was too slow or weaving about too much or something.
Ooooh! 24 Season 2 is out in just under a week. Must resist buying it until after my little holiday, otherwise I might spend all week watching it instead of hobnobing with gods and stuff.
Started moving stuff out of work today properly, by bringing the rice and pasta cooker home. Amazingly it managed to survive my cycling. Definitely need to work on my mounting technique as it doesn't work at all with a large box on the back of the bike.
Saw something truely repellant on the way back. A girl wearing skin tight white calf length trousers...that were at least a size too small and had the word "sexy" in a garish font on her arse. I figure she must have stolen it from her good looking (but lacking in taste) slimmer friend.
Am sleepy now, so shall go to bed rather than staying up late spodding.
