SNAFU

Last night's IFIS event seemed plagued with disaster. First we had the last minute room change. Then we had a small hiccup getting a copy of Dragonheart. And Crosslands has started doing a pub quiz on Tuesdays now too.

But despite all of that, we had a really good turn out. It's probably a good thing we haven't gone for the smaller theatre normally as I'd guestimate we'd probably fill it with the number of people we had last night...so for a more popular film, we'd have not enough room. Pub turnout was pretty good too, although we lost a few people I think due to having to change venue and to the bitter cold.

I think the announcement/reminded about Thursday was a bit more noticable this time as people actually asked where The Alma Mata was. So maybe people will turn up.

It saddens me to think that there's going to be a generation of students who don't know that the pub used to be called the Railway.

I think we mourn the loss of The Royal Ascot more

I don't... um, where?

And there is a prime example... ;)

(if you read the article I wrote for the latest RWAV it explains everything)

Oh, the Fonkey's Morehead... I forget.

Also, I think I came in at the point where the Thursday social was "briefly" at the Holly Tree.

Clearly you haven't read the article if you think we were ever (even briefly) at the Holly Tree ;P

Um, um... Beehive.

I always get them confused for some reason. Maybe it's the similar-looking signs... :-P
